The short version: Paintlang is provided as-is. Your paintings are yours. Things you share publicly (share links, library components) can be seen and reused by others. Do not upload images you have no right to use, and do not abuse the service.
1. The service
Paintlang is a browser-based painting studio at paintlang.com, with optional hosted features: image tracing, accounts, cloud saves, and a shared component library. The studio's client code is open source (MIT); the hosted tracing service is proprietary.
2. Your content
You keep all rights to paintings and code you create. By saving to the cloud you grant us permission to store and serve that content back to you. By contributing a component to the global library, or sending someone a share link, you grant every Paintlang user a perpetual, royalty-free license to view, insert, and adapt that snippet in their own works. Removing a component stops new copies; existing copies remain with their holders.
3. Your responsibilities
Only upload or trace images you have the right to use. Do not upload unlawful content, do not attempt to break, overload, or reverse the hosted tracing service, and do not scrape other users' content. We may remove content or close accounts that violate these terms.
4. Accounts
Key accounts are held by whoever holds the key; we cannot recover a lost key. OAuth accounts (GitHub, Google) rely on those providers. We may impose fair-use limits (trace quotas, storage caps) and will state them in the product.
5. Paid plans
If you purchase a paid plan, billing is handled by our payment providers: Razorpay for customers in India and Dodo Payments (as merchant of record) for international customers. Downgrading or cancelling never deletes existing work; it only limits adding new work beyond the free tier's caps.
6. Refunds and cancellation
You can cancel a Paintlang Pro subscription at any time from the payment provider's portal or by emailing us; your plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for, and no further charges are made. If a charge was made in error, or the paid service was unavailable for a substantial part of a billing period, email us within 7 days of the charge at combinedwork196@gmail.com and we will refund that billing period. Refunds are returned to the original payment method, typically within 5 to 7 business days.
7. No warranty
The service is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for lost data or damages beyond the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Export or share anything you cannot afford to lose.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
